Marianna D’Ama is an Italian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. At the age of fourteen, she picked up her first electric guitar, a passion she pursued throughout the years, along with music production and editing studies in London, and a love for vintage organs' sounds.
After collaborating with some bands, in 2018 she debuted with her self-produced EPLip where she distinguished herself with a strong personality and a significant vocal range, compared to international talents such as PJ Harvey.
Alongside her, multi-instrumentalist Davide Grotta has faithfully accompanied her in her musical adventures, both in terms of production and live performances.
In a truly vintage spirit, in 2019, she released the glam-rock flavored 45 RPM record Thee Devil produced by the record label Oh-No!Tapes Records, a section of the video label Oh-No!Tapes, which she co-founded the previous year, confirming her compositional talent and a penetrating voice with jazz-blues reminiscences, a sound environment she loves.
She produces videos for artists such as Xabier Iriondo (Afterhours), Marco Parente, Paolo Benvegnu, Enzo Moretto (A Toys Orchestra), and collaborates as a singer with New Yorkers The Du-Rites and Italian Stella Burns until she met the Italian-American blues-folk songwriter Joseph Martone, sought after by Taylor Kirk, founder of the famous Canadian folk band Timber Timbre and producer of Martone's latest album, voted the best album of 2020 by Rolling Stone France.
In 2020, Marianna began collaborating with Joseph, following him on his tour in France, Spain, and Italy as a keyboardist, guitarist, and backing vocalist, and opening several dates for him. In May 2021, while she was preparing for a new EP, one of the songs on it March 1990 was chosen in its instrumental version for a commercial for the Mercedes automotive brand.
Marianna is an ambassador for the Spanish guitar line NewVille Guitars.
